It’s been a week since Sarah Palin gave her controversial speech to the NRA convention and critics were busy blasting out headlines pointing to her political demise. Long time Palin supporters have seen this all before. Tons of memes have been written by those on the left and right declaring her politically over. These memes have been recycled through the years since 2008. Such predictions and headlines are becoming more impotent as Sarah Palin continues to thrive and remain in the fray. Those predicting Palin’s demise are also ignoring her influence in a number of important republican senate primaries. A documentary about Texas governor Ann Richards reminds me how the democrats protect and promote their political stars, while the GOP foolishly throws their stars under the bus.
